To those who missed Cabin Fever you missed a lot this year. We had a Groovy Time. Your District Team (Angela and Becky) came up with two new night games that were a blast from the past.
Talking to Colleen after she was able to pay the bills we did almost break even. Thank you to all who participated in the Auctions as well. That was the difference between breaking even and loosing our @$$.
Angela and I made both the Michigan and Indiana winter events with three kidnappings of Sterling Jr the Frog. He was taken at Michigan Wingless Weekend only to find himself in the Live Auction…I saved him and was able to bring him back to Ohio. At Cabin Fever with only a second of inattention, he was kidnapped again. This time we received a number of photo’s show Sterling being taken apart and run over by a Goldwing. Our hearts were broken. We traveled to Indiana’s Winter Rendezvous and found upon our arrival an arm hanging out of a Monster’s Mouth. We then knew that someone in Indiana had kidnapped Sterling Jr. But at closing the DD Lee Tieche did a magic act which brought Sterling back in one piece looking good as new. Thank you Lee for bring Sterling Jr back to us. But as you have guessed, yes I lost him again. This time we have been getting regular photos of Sterling as he travels all over Illinois & Missouri. He is leading the High Life right now. But we still worry about him making it back home safe and sound for the Buckeye Rally & Convention. We recently had an email from Lee & Kay Tieche indicating that a possum is searching for Sterling Jr as well. I am not sure which possum would be helping Ohio find Sterling Jr unless of course it is the Indiana Possum; you remember the one that weighs 5 lbs? In any event we appreciate any and all help returning Sterling Jr back home.
We are looking forward to all our Officers and Guests joining us at the Spring Officers Meeting. One of the tasks we will be working on is the schedule of events. We want to make sure that we have all the events that our membership wants in a Rally and drop those that do not provide value. We will have the BR/C registration form available for the officer to take home as well as on-line access. Your officers will get a sneak peek of what we have planned for the BR/C so ask them when they get home. I am sure it will be received happily by all.
The last thing, as with all new riding seasons, watch out for those other drivers as they are NOT ready to see two wheelers on the road. I want to see all of you on that black ribbon of enjoyment for many more years.
Until later, enjoy the ride
